Lively Butterfly Sponge Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream is now available


Artisan Bleu's founder had spent 2 months in London working on new projects. Following the success of the tea party, we had been asked to make a birthday cake for the same family to celebrate Grandad's 73rd birthday.


This time, they wanted something simple but classic for an intimate circle of family and closed friends only. We were drawn by their amazing garden last time at the tea party, we wanted to design a cake that echo that. With that concept in our minds, we made a Naked Buttercream Cake with Orange Sponge, Apricot Jam and Chocolate Swiss Meringue Buttercream - a classic flavour combination. We then decorated with our wafer butterflies so our cake looked lively and attractive as their garden.


As soon as our cake was posted on our Instagram and Facebook pages, we received flood of enquiries immediately. On that note, we'll make that as our standard offer, with the following flavours: Orange Sponge and Chocolate Swiss Meringue Buttercream, Lemon Sponge and Lemon Swiss Meringue Buttercream, or Lemon Sponge and Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream with choice of Apricot Jam, Lemon Curd or Rose Strawberry Jam.
